Sauvignon Blanc

The French Sauvignon Blanc variety is very popular for white wine production.

It is grown in the humid, rainy, milder continental climate found around Adapazarı, Geyve and the Gulf of Saroz, where the soil is a mixture of clay and sand, in the volcanic soil of the Cappadocia and in Denizli. The bunches are medium dense and the skins are not too thick. Wines produced from Sauvignon Blanc grapes have a medium to high acidity and vegetal, mineral, stone fruits (peach, apricot) or tropical fruits aromas depending on the climate and ripeness.

Good examples in world wine making are French Loire Valley (Sancerre-Pouilly Fumé), Bordeaux, New Zealand, Australia and USA (California).

Egeo Sauvignon Blanc is produced solely from Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown in Denizli and Geyve.
