Sangiovese

This variety, most widely planted in Italy, is known as “The Blood of Zeus”.

Good examples in world wine making are produced in Italy, Tuscany (Chianti Classico, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Brunello di Montalcino).

The aromas of sour cherries, violets, tea and plums are pronounced. The wine produced from Sangiovese has medium to high tannin, medium to high acidity and medium to full body and it is very suitable for oak maturation.

Sangiovese grapes are grown in Kavaklıdere’s Ege-Pendore and Denizli-Güney Vineyards.
